The struggle for dignity, self determination, and justice requires more than good intentions — it requires skill, preparation, and what Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. called soul force. That’s the inner discipline and courage to face conflict without fear, to intervene with wisdom, and to protect our communities without becoming what we oppose.
As Dr. King reminds us:
“When you can stand up to your oppressor, look him in the eye, and refuse to strike back — when you meet his hatred with dignity and refuse to return his violence — he knows deep down that you are the better man.”
This summer, we’re offering two opportunities to grow those skills and that strength together.
Exclusive Two-Day Conflict De-escalation Workshop — July 12-13
As a special offering to our members, the Partido is hosting a two-day conflict de-escalation and intervention workshop, designed to build real, usable skills for dealing with tense or unsafe situations in our homes, communities, or public spaces.
When: July 12-13 | 8 AM - 12 PM Pacific Time

Cost: $25 per person for members, $75 per person nonmembers

Bystander Intervention Trainings by Meta Peace Team — Ongoing
Starting in August, Meta Peace Team's Bystander Intervention Trainings are back. These comprehensive 4-hour workshops will teach you how to safely and effectively intervene in public or private situations where harm or conflict is happening.
MPT has trained Peace Teams for action around the world, from Palestine to the US-Mexico border. Their approach builds on the same principles Dr. King taught, disciplined, courageous, nonviolent action.
